Holy Spirit Home provides high (nursing home) and low (hostel)
care units for elderly people who need some help with daily tasks such as
bathing, dressing and meal preparation. Specialised nursing care units are available on
the assessed need of the individual resident. All residents are encouraged to live as
independently as possible in a supportive environment.

Support Services: Rooms are cleaned
weekly. All heavy laundry is provided by the Home's onsite laundry. Laundry facilities are
also provided in each building for use by residents. If required meals are provided in the
dining room of each building. |

Care Services: Assistance is provided
with all daily living activities including:
- showering and dressing
- assistance with meals
- moving around the Facility
- medications etc
Specialised nursing care, podiatry and therapy services are provided to residents
with high dependency needs. |

Security: Staff are available 24 hours per
day. There is a nurse call button in each room. |

SOCIAL
ACTIVITIES
Holy Spirit Home will be your home, so you are free to continue all your usual
activities such as hobbies, visiting friends and having them visit you, going shopping, to
clubs etc. Staff may be able to help you continue with these activitiesRecreation staff provide an activity program
to meet the needs of all residents. |

HOW
MUCH WILL IT COST?

CARE (HOSTEL) |
| An Accommodation
Bond (one off payment) may be required from those eligible to pay. This is
determined according to Government guidelines, and will be fully explained at an
interview. You will be asked to provide a Statement of Assets and Income and you may
choose one of several options available to pay the bond. A set portion of the bond is retained over
the period of the residency. On departure the balance remaining is returned. |

CARE (NURSING HOME) |
| An
Accommodation Charge (daily charge) may be required from those eligible to pay.
This is determined according to Government guidelines, and will be fully explained at
interview. You will be asked to provide a Statement of Assets and Income. The accommodation charge will be levied for a
maximum of five (5) years, calculated on a daily basis.
Residents who transfer from the
Home's low care to high care accommodation may be offered the option to continue an
existing Accommodation Bond arrangement or pay an Accommodation Charge.
The Home is required by the
Government to provide a minimum percentage of Aged Care places for concessional residents
or residents who cannot afford to pay the accommodation bond or accommodation charge. |
