Respite Care |
|||
Respite care provides relief for family members who care for someone who is frail or has a disability. Respite Care can be offered in an adult day center, in the home of the person being cared for, or in a residential setting such as a Holy Spirit Care Services hostel (low care) or nursing home (nursing home). Although there are different approaches to respite care, all have the same basic objective; to provide caregivers with planned temporary, intermittent, substitute care, allowing for relief from the daily responsibilities of caring for the care recipient. Holy Spirit Care Services facilities are licensed and accredited under the Aged Care Act 1997. Further information about residential respite care, including financial arrangements can be found at the Department of Health & Ageing website at www.agedcareaustralia.gov.au. Holy Spirit Care Services provide respite care at Holy Spirit Bethlehem and Holy Spirit Home. We would welcome the opportunity to meet with you and to discuss your particular situation and to provide advice and information to meet your specific needs. To contact us click here |
