Volunteering

Holy Spirit Care Services currently have in excess of 180 volunteers and they provide a most valuable service to our residents, visitors and staff. In total our volunteers give over 14,000 hours of their time every year.

We have programs in Brisbane and Cairns and the volunteers are guided and supported by the staff in the areas in which they work.

Opportunities for volunteering exist in the following areas:

•	Assisting therapy staff with diversional therapy or physical therapy programmes
•	Fundraising – in particular with the Auxiliary
•	Pastoral care
•	Support Services areas – catering (functions and café), laundry, grounds and gardens, bus driving.
•	Administration –general office tasks, library
